Comunidade da Serra da Boa Vista conta com a Assistência Técnica e Gerencial do Senar Alagoas, que promoveu o evento com o apoio de produtores locais
A segunda edição do Festival da Banana, em Palmeira dos Índios, mobilizou a comunidade da Serra da Boa Vista na última quinta-feira (22) para exposição e venda de produtos feitos a partir da fruta. A cadeia da fruticultura na região conta com a Assistência Técnica e Gerencial (ATeG) do Senar Alagoas, que promoveu o evento com o apoio dos produtores locais.
Durante toda a tarde, a programação movimentou a rotina dos moradores da Serra da Boa Vista, que puderam assistir à apresentação da Orquestra Municipal Graciliano Ramos e ainda conhecer o produtor vencedor do concurso que premiou o maior cacho de banana. Quem levou a premiação foi Claudionor Maurício, mais conhecido por “Dinho da Travessada”, com um cacho de 200 bananas.
“O Festival da Banana é parte de um trabalho que vem sendo realizado durante todo o ano. Nós do Senar trabalhamos ainda o beneficiamento da produção, com a industrialização de doces, o beneficiamento da banana e o artesanato com a fibra de bananeira. Tudo isso para que os produtores possam, por meio desse beneficiamento, agregar valor ao produto e aumentar o lucro das famílias, e consequentemente o desenvolvimento do território”, diz a técnica de campo Rita Gouvêa.
A data para realização do festival não poderia ser diferente: 22 de setembro é celebrado o Dia Nacional da Banana. O evento contou ainda com os apoios das Secretarias de Agricultura e Cultura de Palmeira dos Índios, Sindicato dos Trabalhadores e Trabalhadoras Rurais (STTR), Sindicato dos Produtores Rurais de Palmeira dos Índios, Prefeitura Municipal, Associação da Serra da Boa Vista, Federação das Associações Comunitárias de Palmeira dos Índios (Facompi) e do empresário Lúcio Carlos Medeiros.
